The Caliterra neighborhood sits south of downtown Dripping Springs, near the hill country wineries and agricultural fields. The Caliterra neighborhood development includes a small neighborhood general store, parks and playgrounds, a several trails throughout. The amenity center followed the same aesthetic and hill country motif that is seen in this PUD. The center is surrounded by mature trees that were existing on the site and has substantial topography changes, sloping from one end over to the other.
The amenity center program includes a pool and splashpad, HOA office, support spaces like a bathhouse, and pool equipment storage. The center is tiered to align with the existing topography, and create several spaces within the hardscape. The pool was located where the fewest trees would need to be removed, and seating and picnic tables were situated on the parts of the site with the most shade being provided by the mature trees.
The building materials follow the Texas Hill Country vernacular, with corrugated metal panels accenting the stucco and limestone veneer. The mirrored restroom buildings flank a breezeway covered by a high roof, matching the style of the barn at the front of the neighborhood.
